The shortest city trip of all time

One of our stopovers on our last road trip was the city of Frankfurt am Main - and it was probably the shortest stay we have ever had in a city.
First, we drove around the deserted city for a bit. We were surprised to see where all the residents had gone and whether it was only this empty during our visit, or every day.
During our short tour, we noticed many architecturally unique buildings and dozens of works of art, which seemed to appear on every other street. As a Berliner, I had never really heard of Frankfurt before and was therefore surprised by the city's enthusiasm for art.
Afterwards, we parked the car near the riverbank and strolled along the water, soon encountering some friendly ducks who seemed to enjoy not only our company but also the camera. One of them appeared to want to stage a whole photo shoot, striking different poses.
It started to rain, so we got back into our car and drove off.
Ultimately, our time in Frankfurt am Main was so short and uneventful that we're left wondering where the city gets its hype from. Aside from the beautiful skyline and the charming ducks, we didn't notice anything particularly special – but who knows, maybe the specialness comes from the people we didn't meet that day.
